Below I'm going to post the original recipe by TheMessyBakerBlog, and then I'll include my few adaptations. I also added slightly more milk, because I thought it was way too thick--almost like mud!
When I told my parents about this recipe, and I mentioned that frozen bananas were a main ingredient, I thought they were going to fall over when I said that I have individual bags of banana slices in my freezer! I don't think they ever thought that would come out of my mouth :) I guess you could say that they didn't really see me turning into a Betty Crocker! I truly love being a wife and cooking all the time!
Total Time: 5 minutes
Original Ingredients:
- 1 banana, sliced and frozen
- 1/2 cup chocolate soy milk
- 1 Tablespoon cocoa powder
- 2 Tabl espoons plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
- 2 Tablespoons peanut butter
- 2 teaspoons honey or agave
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth!

My Adapted Ingredients:
- 1 banana, sliced and frozen
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1-2 Tablespoons chocolate syrup (depending on how chocolatey you like it!)
- 2 Tablespoons plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
- 2 Tablespoons peanut butter
- 2 teaspoons honey
Directions:
- In a blender, combine milk and chocolate syrup.
- Add yogurt, peanut butter, and honey.
- Add banana and combine until smooth.
- Enjoy!!
